Bluetooth problems are frustrating, but the fixes are usually simple.
Try these
- Make sure the device is charged and in pairing mode (often a long press until a light flashes)
- Turn Bluetooth off and on again on the phone or computer
- "Forget" or "remove" the device, then pair it again
- Disconnect it from other phones or computers: many devices only connect to one at a time
- Move closer, away from Wi-Fi routers and microwaves
Keeps dropping?
- Low battery on either side causes dropouts
- Walls and your own body block the signal more than you'd think
- Update the phone or computer, and the device's own app if it has one
- On a computer, try a different USB port for any Bluetooth adapter
If one particular device never stays connected, it may be faulty. We can check whether it's the device or the computer.
